They also offer lunch options in addition to breakfast, but most people are stopping here before they head to the park. Some say Deep Creek Coffee Co. is the best way to start your day in Zion. Deep Creek Coffee Co. is open Sunday through Saturday from 6:00am to 8:00pm.
Perks at Zion
Perks at Zion is located at the entrance of Zion National Park. The location is perfect to start your day at the park or if you need an afternoon pick-me-up. The drinks are made to order and the breakfast sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients. Perks is attached to the Cable Mountain Lodge. Arkansas Al’s Steakhouse is located in the Majestic View Lodge. Guests will find it very convenient but it is still a great option for those not staying in the lodge. Arkansas Al’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – with dinner starting after 4pm. Bit & Spur was created in 1981 and has been under current ownership since 1992. Something unique about Bit & Spur is that the restaurant recycles over 90% of its solid waste and donates frying oil to local vegetable oil car owners. The main dining room hosts a rotating art show, supporting local artists.
A standout on the menu is the Sweet Potato Tamales and the Bit & Spur Ribeye. Bit & Spur usually has some kind of soulful live music to go along with its rustic appearance. Italian Cuisine Around Zion
If you are in the mood for pizza the locals will recommend you make a stop by Juniper’s. Though they are new in town, having just opened this past summer, they have quickly become a crowd favorite. The pizza and pasta are made fresh in-house. Juniper’s typically has a special of the night which can range from Spicy Chicken Florentine to Creme Brule desert. A lot of places close up for winter but Juniper’s offers special winter hours, 7 days a week from 4pm to 9pm.
Zion Pizza & Noodle Company
Another great Italian option is Zion Pizza & Noodle Company. They stay very busy and you will have to stand in line to order, but people who go here will tell you it is worth a wait. The restaurant is a former Mormon church built in 1930. The atmosphere is welcoming and allows visitors to blend in with the locals.
For the brew lovers, you will find a beer garden in the back of the old church. Featured on tap are Micro Brews including Squatters, Wasatch, and Uinta. This back area is screened in and shaded. Zion Pizza & Noodle Company is open seasonally 7 days a week starting at 4pm daily.
On the Finer Side Around Zion
King’s Landing Bistro
King’s Landing Bistro is known for offering creative dishes that are sure to satisfy after a busy day. Chef King and Chef Nguyen will give your taste buds plenty to talk about when you dive in to their flavor-packed dishes such as Smoked Marrow Bones, Fried Quail, and Charred Spanish Octopus. Spotted Dog Café is an American Bistro located in Flanigan’s Inn. This restaurant prides itself on local produce and hormone-free meats. Along with its traditional dining area, the Spotted Dog comes with a European-style sidewalk café.
The menu boasts several regional specialties including Red Trout, Braised Lamb Shank, and Seared Muscovy Duck Breast with Cherry Gasrtique. It is important to note that the Spotted Dog Café does have limited hours November through March, opening at 5pm daily.
The Switchback Grille is the original prime steak and fresh seafood house of Zion. In the dining room you will find commissioned art by renowned Utah artist Kirk Randal. This is an upscale dining experience you won’t want to miss if you are coming to Zion. Some of the highlights on the menu include the Daily Cut, Daily Fresh Fish, and Pan Seared Sea Scallops.
If you still have room for dessert be sure to try the Chocolate Gateau or the Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. During season from March to November, Switchback Grille is open daily from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. In the off-season from December to February, Switchback Grille is open Thursday to Sunday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Moki uses local ingredients and “cage-free cooking” to put their own spin on traditional American cuisine. The kitchen is led by award-winning Chef Adrian Carpenter, who pulls inspiration from European techniques to stylize his creations. One of their most popular treats is their Kookie Balls made up of chocolate fudge, milk caramel and crushed Oreo cookies – these Kookie Balls will not disappoint. Springdale Candy Company is guaranteed to be open every day until 8:00pm.
Hoodoos ice cream parlor offers visitors a wide selection of cold treats. They have gelato, smoothies, ice cream, soft serve yogurt, milkshakes and sundaes. Hoodoos is part of an all-in-one general store, deli, coffee shop and ice cream parlor. It is located within a quarter mile from Zion National Park’s south entrance. Hoodoos ice cream parlor is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm.

The Zion Canyon Brew Pub is a great place to grab some food and a beer. It features the locally handcrafted ales of Zion Canyon Brewing Company.
